N&B Power Tumbling Classes: Power tumbling is performed on elevated spring runways that help tumblers propel themselves higher than a basketball goal as they demonstrate speed, strength and skill while executing a series of acrobatic maneuvers. Top-level contenders will perform explosive somersaults with multiple flips and twists. We coach ALL levels of floor routines at N&B with SUTA’s (Southern Utah Tumbling Associations head floor judge). This gives N&B power tumblers to ability to have up to date instruction and competition rules and information on demand! Our Power Tumbling Classes give 75% of class time focus to floor skills with 25% of class time focusing on tramp and double mini skill which benefit floor skills. You will often see floor skills being developed on the tumble tramp, into our foam pit, on our rod floor, or on our sunken tramp. Full tramp routines and Double Mini routines are saved for the Power Tumbling Gymanst Competition team class. If you are interested in our Gym Meets, Please see N&B Power Tumbling Team for more information. Trampoline: Although even in the early years of trampolining, notable American and international athletes performed many of the difficult skills and combinations of skills that are seen today, modern trampoline competitions are quite different those of the early developmental years -- due in part to advances in equipment design, changes in the rules and governance, and more systematic training of the athletes. Today at our SUTA Gym meets, a series of trampoline skills are connected in a series to be judged. Double Mini-Trampoline N&B is the only gym in Sevier County with a DOUBLE MINI! The Double mini is a relatively new sport that combines the horizontal run of tumbling with the vertical rebound of trampoline. After a short run, the athlete jumps onto a small two-level trampoline to perform a rebounding trick immediately followed by a dismount element onto a landing mat. Double mini is similar in concept to springboard diving, using a mat instead of water. Multiple ages and levels of the double mini are coached at N&B by SUTA’s head judge.. This is a very fun piece of equipment bringing additional opportunities to our power tumblers in house and at our SUTA gym meets.

STRETCHING/FLEXIBILITY TECHNIQUE CLASS: 45 minutes ($46 per month) Or Free with the N & B Unlimited seasonal Pass Ages 1st Grade to 99 years old! Why would I take stretching and/or technique? Stretching helps a dancers flexibility and range of motion. Along with flexibility a dancer must have strength for alignment, control and proper use of their flexibility. The dancer must be able to maintain a balance of strength and flexibility in all areas of the body. By taking classes designed for only stretching and technique, dancers have the ability to work year round to strengthen their body and improve their flexibility. Since our stretching and technique classes do not have a year end performance piece, dancers do not get distracted with remembering choreography and can continually push their bodies and grow as dancers. We encourage all dancers to take a stretching and/or technique class. We believe these classes are where we see students grow the most. As they continually work on the same muscle groups, the body becomes stronger and dancers see an improvement in themselves by year-end. Our stretching and technique classes allow students to work on an individualized skill set as well and push themselves to be the best dancer they can possibly be.
